Use the SCG proxy guidelines as explained here: http://forums.starcitygames.com/viewtopic.php?t=291560&

Misc:
Food will be for sale (snacks/drinks)
Commons/Uncommons/Rares for sale
Trading will be in abundance, so bring trade cards if you want!

So proxies must be written on an actual card? I'm assuming I wouldn't be able to use laserjet proxies because of the added thickness?

I'm planning on attending the event as well as Verlorene and quite possibly my brother. See you guys in a month!

Awesome! Looking foward to seeing all of you. And yes, cards must be alike in all respects, so proxies have to be written on real cards (sharpie on lands meets this).

There's a PTQ the same day in San Antonio, and it's Sealed (so it will attract players that don't even have a deck). You might want to move the date.

Yeah that has the potential to hose the whole Event. I'd definitely talk to the shop owner and try to get the date either moved forward or back.

*****ANNOUNCEMENT*****

Quoted from Mulciber, Genesis Games:

All, this tournament is being rescheduled due to a conflicting date with the PTQ season. Our next available PTQ-free Saturday is November 8 - same time, format, rules, etc. If you know anyone coming in from out of town for this please let them know ASAP.

This is now the same day as States, run in Austin. States will also likely draw a big crowd.

I'm back from Oktoberfest, but still kinda busy with work. So has the date of the tourny changed or is it still on the 18th. If anyone from Houston is interested in carpooling let me know(provided I can make it).

Tournament is November 8

Mike, I have 3 people who are planning on riding together with me (one of which is Grahaminator). If you want to meet up with us in Rosenberg on that day you are more than welcome.

I think competing with States is a really really bad idea. States is popular with a large group of people. I've seen this before, any time an event (even Eternal) competes with major events, they tend to lose.

Edit: If you're really tied to that date, what about trying to get it run as a side event at States?

I've got to dog-sit this weekend, but if you want to playtest before the tournament let me know. I think I have some free time on Friday. I've got Stax, MUD, Ichorid, and Belcher built out.
